The Nautical Board Clock draws directly from this connection to the sea, re-imagining the familiar form of a surfboard as a canvas for a complete resin seascape.
The composition flows along the elongated shape of the board, with layered resin capturing the energy, depth, and rhythm of breaking waves and shifting tides. At its center, a subtle compass motif anchors the piece, with the clock hands mounted within it — a reference to navigation, direction and the instinctive relationship between surfer and sea.
Rather than treating the surfboard purely as a vessel, this work allows its natural form to guide the visual language of the piece, creating a balance between function, memory and coastal experience.
